HEC Equality Committee

Our HEC Equality Committee aims to promote equality within the faculty. Our activities are part of a faculty action plan, which defines the objectives and measures to be taken and implemented in 5 areas:

  1. Encouraging and supporting the next generation of female academics
  2. Promoting women's academic careers
  3. Reconciling different spheres of life
  4. Raise awareness and develop equality skills
  5. Anchoring equality in faculty governance

The commission organizes several flagship initiatives to promote the next generation of academics:

  • The Female Career Award: which consists in presenting a prize to a woman with an outstanding academic career outside HEC, and helps to raise the profile and value of female academic careers and encourage the next generation of women to pursue an academic career.
  • The Career Lunch Grant: provides doctoral and post-doctoral students with advice on advancing their academic careers.
  • The Fine Tea: brings together professional women, post-doctoral researchers and doctoral students from the faculty to discuss their thoughts and experiences on academic careers.
