The Dorigny campus is beside Lake Geneva, on the outskirts of the city of Lausanne. It provides a very special work and study environment for the 18,000 people who create its lively atmosphere.
It is a natural park, with many green spaces, a wood, streams, fields under cultivation and a beach. Local fauna and flora thrive there.

When you register at UNIL, an IT account will automatically be created for you. It allows individual access to UNIL IT resources (in particular, the intranet, the wifi connection, your online administrative file and a UNIL email account.)
Your username and password will be sent to your new work address in a sealed envelope.
Your account cannot be created until the Human Resources Department has entered your contract into the electronic system.

Take a break, let yourself breathe and do some sport at the heart of the campus! The Sports Centre, at the lakeside, offers a magnificent environment and high quality sports infrastructure.
Many sporting activities are on offer, together with a Sports and Health Centre (CSS) dedicated to the well-being of the UNIL community.
The Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire de Lausanne (BCUL) [the cantonal and university library of Lausanne] has five libraries, two of which are on the Dorigny campus.
1. The library at Unithèque covers all subjects specifically related to the humanities and every period of history. The site also has many areas for work and study.
2. The library in the Internef building holds books and journals related to law and economics and also provides a calm environment in which to read and work.
There is a shopping centre on the neighbouring EPFL campus. You will find shops, a medical centre, a dental surgery etc. there. The shopping centre is next to the "EPFL” metro station.
Anyone who wishes to have a parking permit should apply to the relevant office. All the information is available on the car parking page of the UNIL website.
There are a number of car parks on campus. The type of permit you hold determines the parking space and type of car park you may use.
The permit should be picked up in the office in the Annexe de la Mouline (bureau 202), open from 9:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
